Network Administration:

After 7 years working in Invercargill servicing School and Business networks throughout Southland and the lower South Island, SouthernIT was formed in 2009 by Glen Perkins to provide network administration and support services to Eastern Southland Schools. From resetting a users password through to running your network for you - we will provide the complete solution at an affordable price.

On-site Repairs:

Save the hassle of unplugging your laptop or desktop computer - we will service it on-site for you. Most computer repairs can be completed onsite, and if it can't be, or is more economical to repair in our workshop, we will advise you, workshop repair your computer and return it to site for you. With travel only charged one way for all our School clients, on-site repair is a very popular option.

Server Support:

At SouthernIT we provide server support from troubleshooting a network outage, creating new network drives, installing new software or creating 'lockdown' policies through to brand new server installs. We support all Windows server operating systems. SouthernIT can provide the best server solution for your needs including Terminal Servers and remote access services. Wireless Networks:

Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) - Can your wireless network cope? We offer managed wireless networks, fully installed and operating in your School. With a managed wireless network you only need to join one wireless unit, then are free to roam the school without the hassle of re-connecting to a different wireless router - our managed wireless network will do that for you. You can also have multiple 'networks' at no extra cost for reporting and management purposes. Track which user is consuming the bandwidth, block a user or switch off the student network while Staff continue to work uninterupted.
